TOP 10 SCENIC FALL VISTAS

2007 brought a record drought in the southeast.  Combined with extra warmth this fall it should go a long way towards providing spectacular fall foliage this season.  As you travel throughout NC. keep a few of these destinations in mind as we think they are tough to beat!!

ENJOY!!

  1. The Wilson Creek Overlook along the Tanawha Trail, Blue Ridge parkway and Linn Cove Viaduct is a great combination of scenic driving & hiking. The overlook is just north of Grandfather Mountain and the hike is moderate to reach a most spectacular view! However, travel further south towards Asheville and Wow!  Just wait until you observe the Craggy Gardens!!  It is electric!

  2. Cherohala Skyway-visit one of NC's best kept secrets!

  3. Great Smoky Mountains

  4. The Beach! You can't beat temps in the 70's or 80's with low humidity and less crowds?

  5. Wiseman's View-Linville Gorge Wilderness Area

  6. Whitewater Falls

  7. Hanging Rock State Park

  8. Whiteside Mountain Trail-near Highlands and Cashiers
